What our clients are saying.

Rated 5 out of 5

"We hired Appalachian Contracting Services to build a one car garage with attic storage space and the finish product is just perfect! Their designer worked with us to develop a floor plan for our needs but the key item was the elevations that provide a close match to our older existing home. We really enjoyed working with the Apcon crew, from beginning to end, and would absolutely recommend them to others."

"It is rare to have the opportunity to recommend a contracting company with such qualities as Appalachian Contracting. Its owner, Beau Hughes, shows himself to be conscientious, dependable, professional, and responsive to customer needs. This quality of care is consistent with all the Appalachian employees who go out of their way to ensure satisfaction with the work performed. This is especially true for job site supervisor Joe and skilled carpenter Ian. If you have the occasion to hire Appalachian Contracting, you'll discover a level of service and thoughtfulness that we all wish was more evident in today's world."

"Top notch service and communication! Apcon was great to work with. We have been in our home for well over a year now, and things are fantastic. They were patient with us and addressed our needs with professionalism. We love our house. We used their architect who did a good job with all the important specs of the house and brought value by making the second floor tall and enhancing the dormers for functionality and curb appeal. [Apcon] uses a great app for building decisions too, and we were able to upload photos and our own drawings that they brought to life. Thanks again, Apcon!"

Our Process

We know a kitchen remodel can feel like a big undertaking, so we’ve developed a clear process to keep things stress-free.

Consultation & Vision

Every kitchen remodel begins with a conversation about your vision, goals, budget, and timeline. We take the time to understand how you hope to use the space to cook, entertain, etc. This step is essential: The better we understand how you live, the better we can design a kitchen that works for you and your family.

Proposal & Agreemen

Once your vision is clear, we prepare a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, budget, and timeline. This agreement provides full transparency so you know exactly what to expect before construction begins. Clarity at this stage sets the foundation for a smooth project.

Planning & Design

Next, we work with you to collaboratively design your ideal kitchen. From optimizing layout to selecting countertops, cabinetry, fixtures, and lighting, we guide you through every decision. You spend a lot of time in your kitchen, so every decision is important. We want to ensure your new kitchen is both stunning and eminently practical.

Construction

Strong communication throughout the project is crucial. We provide regular updates and progress reports, and we work carefully to minimize disruption to your household. While your kitchen will likely be offline for part of the project, we’ll take steps to keep the process as smooth as possible for your family.

Finishing Touches

In this stage, we’ll approach every detail with meticulous attention. From precise cabinet alignment and artisan trim work to lighting and hardware installation, this is where our craftsmanship shines. We’ll work hard to make sure every corner of your kitchen is tuned and polished to perfection.

Final Walkthrough

Before the project is complete, we walk through your new kitchen with you, reviewing every element together. Our goal is not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them. We want you to be proud of your kitchen remodel for years to come.

Follow-Up & Support

Our commitment to serving you and your family doesn’t end at the conclusion of the project, and we stand behind the work we do. We remain available to answer questions, provide support, or help with future updates.
